Under California law, the state Supreme Court is responsible for attorney ethics and discipline, and oversight of the State Bar Association. Supreme Court justices Tani Cantil-Sakauye, Goodwin Liu, Carol Corrigan, Kathryn Werdegar, Leodra Kruger, Mariano-Florentino Cuellar and Ming Chin have all pulled up a chair and watched the fire burn.
