July 4th Fireworks: Attorney Who Dumped Client Then Ran Off With Client's Husband Now Claims SHE'S the Victim

Debra Vaniman Crawford, Law & Mediation Offices,
The graphic next to this post is a satirical, Blingee-ized picture of  divorce lawyer Debra Vaniman Crawford, of Debra Vaniman Crawford Law & Mediation Offices.

Enjoy it while you can because as soon as she discovers it, we expect that Crawford will be sending us a "cease and desist" letter, like the "cease and desist" letter she wrote and that we've embedded at the bottom of this post.

As Debra's risible serious sounding and copyrighted letter explains, lots of people, aka's, and Facebook groups
"Have 'Published' Defamatory And/or False Light Invasion of Privacy Content...about Debra Crawford, Debra Vaniman Crawford, and/or Debra Crawford Annis and/or Any of Her Businesses..."
And, yes, the word "published" is in scare quotes. Here is our unsolicited response:

Dear Debra Crawford, Debra Vaniman Crawford, and/or Debra Crawford Annis and/or Any of Her Businesses:

Please be advised that this post constitutes parody and satire based on the parody and satire-worthy "situation" in which you allegedly dumped a divorce client and then ran off with, and later married that clients husband. In other words, you were hired to represent the wife in a divorce and you hooked up with, then married, the wife's husband.

The 56-page catalog of documents embedded at the bottom of this post includes public court records on which our parody and satire is partly based. The documents reasonably and logically indicate that you did in fact withdraw as the attorney of record for a divorce client and then later married that client's ex-husband. Any late-night comedian would consider that comedy gold.

This parody and satire post also is based on the "cease and desist" letter you wrote in your capacity as a member of the California State Bar Association, and using your letterhead designating your status ("Esq.") as an officer of the court. In our opinion, your letter is a joke and, in our opinion, appears to be retaliation for the exercise of free speech and freedom of association, among other constitutional rights. In our opinion, you, madame, are a bully.

Furthermore, based on our own review of Monterey County Superior Court case files, it is our considered opinion that you, madame, are engaged in an elaborate scheme to reduce or eliminate the support your husband pays to his ex-wife, or otherwise gain a financial or tactical advantage in the divorce case.

Court documents suggest that your scheme involves misusing your knowledge of family law to make, and have your husband make fabricated domestic violence and civil harassment claims against your former client, also known as your current husbands ex-wife. The satire, parody, and irony writes itself, without even mentioning the California Medical Board's conditional revocation of your husband's medical license last year.

The Facebook page for Debra Variman Crawford Law & Mediation Offices includes many posts offering life advice, and perhaps a peek inside your mind and the incessant badgering of your conscience, if any, that won't shut the fuck up. "Sometimes people pretend you're a bad person so they don't feel guilty about the things they did to you," reads one post. Is this a veiled cry for help? We're here for you homegirl.

You also express that you're a self-proclaimed authority on narcissists. "A narcissist thinks they have the right to mistreat and hurt you, but you don't have the right to react or stand up and defend yourself...They never blame themselves or see their own horrific behaviors," this post preaches. We feel your pain. Let it out.

Are you familiar with this classic quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet? The lady doth protest too much, wethinks.

If you, Debra Vaniman Crawford, disagree that this post on this blog dedicated to parody and satire of judges and lawyers does not constitute parody and satire, please send your cease and desist letter to our attorney at post office box 831, GoFuckYourself, CA 98221. Have a nice day. Sincerely, California Courts Comedy.
